Our Story

About Us

The Short family — Chris, his wife, and their three children
Meet the Founder

Chris Short

One House One Faith was born from a deeply personal conviction: Christian discipleship should not be outsourced. Church involvement matters, but the home is where faith must be modeled, practiced, and repeated through everyday life.

I met Christ personally in my twenties and now, as a husband, father of three, and active church member, I feel the same tension many families feel — crowded schedules, constant noise, and competing priorities can push intentional discipleship to the margins.

The need is not more guilt. The need is a simple, faithful plan families can actually use.

This brand exists to help parents lead with humility and consistency, not perfection. It is designed to help families read the Bible, discuss difficult topics, pray together, practice accountability, serve together, and grow toward a household culture shaped by one Lord and one faith rather than by the noise of the world.

"I want to stand at my children's graduations able to say I did my best to teach you Christ — not only with words, but with the life of our home."

What Drives Us

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

Equip families to follow Jesus together by restoring Scripture, prayer, honest conversation, accountability, and practical obedience to the center of home life — so households grow in unity under one Lord and one faith.

Our Vision

To see homes built on Christ — the Rock — where parents lead with humility, children grow in biblical identity, and whole households are formed in unity, love, truth, and endurance across generations.

What We Stand On

Core Values

Biblical Authority

God's Word is the standard for truth, discipleship, and family life.

Family-First Discipleship

The home is one of God's primary places for spiritual formation.

Unity in Christ

The aim is not mere religious activity, but a household aligned under one Lord and one faith.

Consistency Over Hype

Repeatable weekly rhythms beat occasional bursts of intensity.

Truth in Love

Difficult topics should be handled with grace, honesty, and conviction.

Humble Leadership

Parents lead best when they model repentance, prayer, and example.

Engaging Excellence

Resources should be clear, beautiful, intuitive, and worth returning to.

Brand Verse

"There is one body and one Spirit — just as you were called to the one hope when you were called — one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

— Ephesians 4:4–6

One Home. One Faith. Together.

The name One House One Faith comes directly from the conviction of Ephesians 4:4–6 — that there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all. For us, that means the home is the first place where unity of faith is practiced, strengthened, and passed on.

We believe that when a household is rooted in Scripture and united in faith, it becomes an unshakeable dwelling — a place where love grows, children flourish, and God's presence is felt in the everyday. Not because the family is perfect, but because they are pursuing Christ together.

This brand exists to help families move from good intentions to a repeatable, Scripture-centered rhythm of discipleship — so unity of faith is practiced at home under one Lord, one faith, and one shared hope in Christ.

From the Heart

I Dream of a Home

I dream of a home where Christ is not a name spoken only on Sundays,
but the center of every room.
A home where the Word of God is opened,
prayer is practiced,
grace is given,
and love is lived.

I dream of a home where children learn to honor their father and mother,
not merely with words,
but with willing hearts.
A home where obedience is taught with patience,
example,
and truth.
Where parents lead with wisdom,
correct with kindness,
and remember that authority looks most like Jesus
when it is wrapped in love.

I dream of a home where little hands are folded in prayer,
little voices learn the name of Jesus,
and little feet run through the house in joy.
Where the pitter-patter of little feet
turns into steady steps of growing children,
then into the strong walk of sons and daughters rooted in truth,
and, by God's grace,
into the laughter and footsteps of generations still to come.

I dream of a family that grows together and stays together —
not just for now,
but through the passing years.
Through scraped knees and school mornings,
through hard conversations and healed hearts,
through seasons of plenty and seasons of prayer,
through laughter around the table and tears at the bedside.
A family held together not by appearance,
but by covenant, forgiveness, and the mercy of God.

I dream of a home where kindness is not rare,
where apologies are not delayed,
where forgiveness is not withheld,
and where peace is worth protecting.
A home where no one has to pretend to be perfect,
because everyone is learning how to walk with Jesus together.

I dream of a home where parents are still growing,
children are still learning,
and love is still maturing.
Where sons are taught strength with humility,
and daughters are taught truth with grace.
Where every life in the house is shaped by the presence of God,
and every person knows they matter.

I dream of a home where church is not an afterthought,
but part of the family's rhythm.
Where we worship together,
serve together,
pray together,
and honor the house of God together.
A home where children learn to love the church
because they have seen their parents love the church first.
A home where faith is not something we visit once a week,
but something we carry into every day.

I dream of a home with an open table,
a listening ear,
and room for others.
A home that welcomes the weary,
encourages the broken,
serves its neighbor,
and reflects the heart of Christ in ordinary ways.

I do not dream of a perfect home.
I dream of a faithful one.
A home that returns to Jesus again and again.
A home that stands through every season
because its foundation is not convenience, emotion, or success —
but Christ alone.

I dream of one house and one faith.
A family rooted in the Word,
planted in the church,
steadied by grace,
growing in love,
and leaving behind a legacy
that will outlive the walls of the house itself.

This is the home I pray for.
This is the home I long to build.
A home that honors God,
blesses His people,
and shines His light
for this generation
and for the generations still to come.
